Federal Resources is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship Fund. Founded in 2018, the scholarship is designed to recognize and financially assist college students that are children of our country’s bravest servicemembers who have demonstrated academic success and are continuing their education at the collegiate level.
Stevensville, MD (August 14, 2018) – Federal Resources, an industry leading provider of advanced military and first responder products and mission-critical solutions, announced today their selection of two outstanding candidates to receive the company’s first Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship. Implemented in 2018, the Warrior’s Legacy Scholarship was designed to recognize and financially assist college students that are children of our country’s servicemembers as a way of showing support and gratitude for the remarkable individuals that protect and serve this country, and to provide financial assistance to the rising costs of a college education for their children.
Originally designed to award one recipient with the $5,000 scholarship award, Federal Resources has announced today that they will award two non-renewable scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year in the amount of $5,000 each to the two selected scholars, who were chosen based on their remarkable academic achievement and written explanation of how their parent/guardian’s service to this country has inspired their educational and/or future career goals.
Federal Resources President, Robert McWilliams, said about the scholarship, “Both of the recipients of this year’s scholarship have incredible potential and have already demonstrated the ability to achieve at a high level. The values we hold at Federal Resources are clearly demonstrated by both Warrior’s Legacy scholars… we are confident that they will make a significant impact on the community and are pleased to support their education.”
Below is more information about the recipients of this year’s scholarship:
Makenna Moore, Virginia Military Institute
Makenna graduated in 2018 from Claremont High School and will attend Virginia Military Institute in the fall of 2018. Following in the footsteps of her father, who spent his career serving this country in various Law Enforcement roles, Makenna plans to attend VMI and commission into the United States military after graduation.

Andrew graduated in 2018 from Douglas S. Freeman High School and will be attending The Citadel in the fall of 2018 to pursue a life of service in the United States Army, which he plans to commission into upon graduation in 2022. His father’s service in the United States Navy has influenced his aspirations of one day working in the Army Corps of Engineers.
